White Glove help for Encino families

Someone who knows the Valley, on your side

We are a local senior placement agency in Encino. We help families find assisted living, memory care and board and care homes across the Valley that fit their parent's care, their budget and the drive. We listen first, we shortlist honestly, and our help costs your family nothing.

Step 1 of 4Free and confidential

Let's start with a warm hello

Share your name and best number, and a local advisor can follow up whenever you are ready.

No cost to families. Your information stays private.

From the first call to the move

What actually happens when you call

Plenty of families reach us from a chair in a hospital corridor, at Encino Hospital Medical Center on Ventura, or Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana, or Valley Presbyterian up in Van Nuys, holding a discharge date two days out. That is the pace we are built for.

01

Tell us what happened

Most calls open the same way. There was a fall, or a hospital stay, or a doctor who said she cannot go back to the house on her own. Tell us that, the monthly budget, and the part of the Valley you can drive to on a Tuesday evening.

02

We cut 336 down to three

We start calling. Who has a bed open this month, who takes a wheelchair, who will not accept someone who gets up and tries the door at night. You get three or four homes with bed counts and licence numbers, not a directory.

03

You tour, we come with you

Tours get booked around your work, usually two or three in one afternoon, because the Valley towns run straight into each other. We tell you what to ask and what the answers mean.

Where the beds actually are

There is no middle option

Across these 12 towns the state licenses 305 homes for six residents or fewer and 31 for 25 or more. It licenses none at all for anything in between. So the real decision is narrower than it looks: a house with five other residents and a caregiver who knows all of them, or a building with a front desk and a dining room. Both are the same licence. They are nothing like the same life.

A senior care advisor on the phone with a family in Encino

We will tell you when the answer is no

If you want a larger community with a front desk, a dining room and an activities calendar, and you want to stay inside the Encino city line, there is one. It is licensed for 85 beds and it sits on Ventura Boulevard. We say that out loud on the first call rather than let you spend a fortnight discovering it, and then we show you what Tarzana, Sherman Oaks and Van Nuys hold.

Our fee comes from the home, at the same rate whether your mother ends up in a six bed house on a residential street or in that 85 bed building. Nothing on the list we hand you is there because it pays more, and the register page names every home in the catchment, including the ones that have never sent us a resident.

  • A short list of three or four, each with its bed count and state licence number
  • Tours grouped so you can see two or three in one afternoon
  • Straight talk about the homes we would not put our own parent in
  • Help gathering paperwork if your father served, or if the house has to sell

Mon-Fri 8:00 AM-6:00 PM; Closed Sat-Sun. If it is urgent and outside those hours, leave a message and say the word discharge.

Tell us the discharge date and we will work backwards

A name and a number is enough to start. If you are reading this in a hospital corridor, say so, and we will move at that speed.
